Proof of life

I have been ill. Really very, very ill. I don't remember ever feeling this horrible, or this worn out. I was telling Bubbe yesterday, in my raspy, extremely low voice that the only thing missing from this was nausea, thank the heavens above. My children have been gathering on the couch in the evenings with the Daddy, waiting for my latest dose of nyquil to kick in, because this is entertainment in the Monster House, apparently. The Daddy says I'm a "happy, snuggly drunk". Yeah. What can I say.

Do you remember Ferris Beuller's Day Off? I love that movie. Love it, love it, LOVE IT! But there's a prop in that movie that I want. The keyboard. The coughing keyboard. That thing is amazing! So... as my proof of life, let me give you a little sound bite of what the Monster House sounds like these days:

Thank you, from the bottom of my mucus saturated heart, to all the guests who have kept the blog up and running while I have been unable to form complete sentences ( it's taken me three hours just to write this proof of life). We have two more guests this week.. one tomorrow and one on Thursday, and then I'll be back in all my sarcastic glory.
